When you check in, a single location reading is taken to confirm you are within approximately 200 meters of the venue. The distance (not your exact coordinates) is stored alongside the check-in record.
Your location is never tracked in the background. If you deny location permission, the app will still function using a default map location, but the check-in feature will be unavailable. You can change your location permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

When you choose to navigate to a venue, the app may open Apple Maps or Google Maps. These apps are governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We retain your account data (name and email) for as long as your account is active. Interaction and check-in records are retained to provide venue owners with analytics; these records are associated with your account ID but are only shared with venue owners in aggregated, anonymous form.
When you delete your account, your profile data is permanently removed. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at vibeoutapp@outlook.com.

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) and stored in Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard security protections. Authentication tokens are managed securely by the Firebase SDK. On a fresh app install, any stale credentials from a previous installation are automatically cleared.
VibeOut is intended for users who are of legal drinking age (21 years or older in the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 21, we will delete their account promptly.
VibeOut is free to use and is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. Ads are displayed as small banners within the app. Google AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and general location to show you ads that are relevant to your interests.
